Family Vacation During Covid

If you're feeling stuck during this nasty COVID-19 season of 2020 and live anywhere close to the mid-Atlantic, I highly suggest you schedule a family getaway to the Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Before baby girl arrives, we wanted to do something special with our boys. And they LOVED this resort! It was exactly what we all needed and our days were packed full of fun.

Crown Reef Resort is not only a beachfront hotel but also a waterpark that is extremely kid-friendly. Wesley really loved going on the two big waterslides with Andrew while the younger boys enjoyed playing in a splash pad-like area. They also have a large pool, multiple hot tubs (something our boys love), and even a lazy river! The best part was that we never had to wait in line for anything!

The resort also had multiple dining options that made meal time easy. We loved the Loco Gecko Beach Shak (mostly because the boys would play in the nearby arcade while waiting for our food, haha) and really enjoyed the poolside Italian ice stand!

Our ocean-view suite was really great as well. We could tell that it had recently been renovated with new paint and art and updated bathrooms and flooring. It also had a kitchenette, which made it really easy to save some money and have breakfast and coffee in the room each morning. Our room was also on the very top floor (11th) of the hotel. From our balcony, we could see up and down the beach for miles and watch beautiful sunrise each morning!

While we spent a fair amount of time at the pool and waterpark, we really made the long drive for the beach and we were not disappointed. The beach was clean and not overcrowded and the boys loved it! So much, in fact, that we could feel the sand between our toes by 8am each morning (thank you, children).

Overall, it was a beautiful and hassle-free stay. If you're thinking about spending a weekend in Myrtle Beach, you should definitely consider Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark!
