Ollie Swaddle Review
You guys are in for a treat because the Ollie Swaddle is a new favorite in our house! I'm so bummed I didn't have this with my other two boys, but I'll be using it for awhile with Nathaniel to make up for that :) When I first got it out of the adorable packaging, I could tell the fabric was different from what I've felt in the past with other swaddles. I looked it up and it's actually made from "patented moisture-wicking threads interwoven into the fabric to reduce the risk of overheating." LOOOVE this. I always worry about the temperature of my baby. Do I need a heater? Do I need the AC on? Do I put a onesie on underneath jammies? Knowing that this swaddle reduces the risk of overheating really puts my mind at ease.Another thing I love about this swaddle is that the velcro runs the entire length of the swaddle. This makes diaper changes in the middle of the night easier as you can just open the bottom few inches without un-swaddling! With other swaddles, I think I woke up my baby every time I fed him at night because I had to remove the entire swaddle to change a diaper. Being able to change your baby without undressing your little one all the way is a lifesaver!Lastly, I love how it's one size that's adjustable. There is a band at the bottom that you can move up or down to adjust for the length of your baby. You don't have to buy 3 different sizes as your baby grows, but can instead invest in one really nice, durable swaddle that grows with your baby!The second I got the swaddle in the afternoon, I wrapped Nathaniel in it. He was so cozy in it that he actually started falling asleep! I personally think it's too soon to say he sleeps better at night because of it, but I will say that he had a 7-hour stretch for the first time at night as a 5-week old. I'll continue to see how he does, but I'm thinking it's because of the swaddle!I'm a mom with two other kids besides this sweet newborn, so I NEEEEEED my sleep. At this point in my life, with 3 kids under 3.5, its vital to have products that WORK and that HELP in each transitional stage and in every season.
