Easter and a NEW Podcast

I posted this on Instagram, but I really wanted it up on my blog because it's true for so many:

Today on Easter, most Christians will be telling you to live as an overcomer, walk in victory, rejoice in what He did... but that’s all meaningless if we don’t understand the gravity of the Gospel.

We can’t live as an overcomer if we don’t understand the depths of His sacrifice.

We can’t live a victorious life if we don’t understand the freedom we find in Christ.

We can’t rejoice if we don’t understand the depravity of our own sin and desperate need for a Savior.

So today, instead of forcing yourself to feel something, come to Jesus as you are:

broken

isolated

suffering

doubting

weary

depressed

angry

lonely

He wants our authentic selves. I pray we understand more of what He’s done, who He is, and who we are in Him today.

He is RISEN

Sometimes Christians can spew terms that can come across as so meaningless to the unbeliever (even the believer at times!). We have to go back to the Word and what Christ did for us. We have to truly understand the significance of the cross and we have to know for ourselves that Jesus is Lord. Our faith is not our parents', it's not what a friend believes, and it most certainly isn't a only-on-Sundays relationship.

In this season of COVID-19, stripped of most everything with nowhere to go and little to do, many of us are asking ourselves where we stand with God. What do we believe about Him? Are we feeling isolated and hopeless or are we living with trust and a foundation of faith that can't be moved?

Those are my thoughts for the week! I also wanted to share with you that I launched my very own podcast, the Embracing Chaos Podcast! Seemed fitting :) On the podcast, I interview ordinary women who share their stories of how God has brought them through the chaos of life. Our guests have shared testimonies and stories of redemption and I know you won't want to miss it! Check it out here!

(The Beautifully Imperfect Podcast had to come to a close, but Season One will still be up on iTunes and all the places you listen to your favorite podcasts!)

Thank you so much for being here and for being apart of the Embracing Chaos Community!

xoxo,

Nicole
